This has no impact on SRX7 points and how you do your own series. This is only for the actual PT points from NASA, which do apply to you if you want to go for the Mazda contingency. Mazda does not recognize SRX7, but they do recognize PTE, PTF, etc.
A vote for the default system is a vote for an attendance award. A vote for the proposed system is a vote for the fastest driver/car combo. Super Touring in Texas follows the proposed system, they get it. Will Performance Touring do the same?
I have some tables posted here that show what last years results would look like under this new system:

summary:
1st - Travis Sutterfield (was 3rd under old method) had alot of wins & podiums 2nd - Ken Brewer (was 1st under the old method) made alot of races, solid finishes, but not many wins 3rd - Jeff Davis (was 2nd under the old method) made alot of races and finished a little better than Ken more often, but had a DNF here & there
I'm for it! I'd rather win it on track than have it handed to me because I'm there at every NASA race to watch over the TT folks
