Welcome to Texas Spec7
Home of the Texas SRX7 Road Race Series
Registration is open - who is coming? Any of you guys doing the enduro as well?
are any of you guys coming or am I going to be racing myself?
Want to go, but committed to my daughters vball tournament in KC....
I'm unfortunately out too.
My bad - daughter's vball is the TMS weekend. I have to be in Chicago for work on that Sunday. May try to make Satuday, but looks like a long shot with the 3 1/2 hour tow....
remember, enduro on Saturday although there is 1 sprint race, 3 sprint races on Sunday.
Any DFW people going? Need to get 4 umounted tires to TWS and I'm not going.
the PT group runs a different race setup than the ST guys do Rob - we've got a 20 min on Sat and a 40 min on Sunday. How the hell did you guys get 3 races on Sunday, makeup from MSR-C??!?
Though one could make the Saturday trip worthwhile by renting a seat on my enduro team. I've got 1 stint open at $500 (damage not included)... come see how much fun a more modern mid-engine car on sticker Hoosiers is ;-)
I'm not going to make it. I am flying to San Jose, CA on Wednesday to pick up a motorcycle I bought, then ride down the coast to LA, tour Jay Leno's garage, then ride back to TX.
i am going to try and make it - need a fix - anybody coming - bueller.... anyone?
how can we see the schedule without actually registering? assume this is the 2.9? not sure i will be able to make it for saturday am but not sure of schedule. anyone else think that nasa's way of registration is not the best? late fee imposed before schedule (even preliminary) is released? also, i have to pay before i know what/when/how long my sessions will be. Given enduro weekend - i assume we have to get all sprint sessions in by lunch?
i always like to complain... - Matt
Yes the 2.9, see schedule here http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=33691
Register online and it won't charge the late fee (at least that's how it has been and they better not fix that loop hole!)
there was a slight tweak to that schedule, I'll hit the highlights for our race group though so its here in one easy to find package :-)
Friday Practice - 8-12, 1-5 open track sessions run by Misty Cain's group Saturday: 8:15 Sprints Qualifying 10:30 Sprint Race (20 min) Sunday: 9:05 Sprints Qualifying 11:10 Sprint Race (40 min) 3:05 Sprint Race (20 Min) I still have a stint open in my MR2 for the enduro, offering it slightly below cost as well at $500 for one full fuel run :-) starting the race on sticker Hoosiers

Thanks for the link - never knew that board was there - or just forgot.
Ken - Interesting proposition for the enduro... who else is driving with you? Any idea how many entries in the enduro?
the entry list was sparse for ALL classes (TT, all race classes, DE, Enduro, everything) and I haven't seen an updated one yet. Even then there were 4 in E3 class where I run, and I expect its grown since then
Mike Bell is taking 1 stint, and I'd like to sell one more so I don't have to start the race and get back in at the end for the double stint, I'd rather start 2 other people and hop in for the final two tanks on the 2nd stop.
well i have now entered so i am guessing the only rx7s will be tony and I and since we all know he's a cheater - i'll just punt him early!!
Ken - as for the enduro, as much as I am an enduro junkie - i will probably have to pass. I'm gonna 'crew' for tony and bill in the miata and hopefully they will get confused when i jump in and take off during the 1st stop!! . If i can help you let me know - maybe we can pit next to each other. btw - how long does your mr2 go on a tank of gas or how many stops are you planning - 4? You gonna be around for sunday's race?
